Gigi Wear is a popular women’s fashion brand that offers a wide range of stylish and affordable clothing and accessories. The company is looking to expand its digital presence by creating a user-friendly e-commerce website and mobile app to enhance the shopping experience for its customers.
Objective
The goal is to design and develop an e-commerce website and app that deliver an exceptional user experience, effectively showcase Gigi Wear’s products, and encourage online sales.
Research & Discovery
User Research & Competitor Analysis
I conducted user interviews and surveys to understand the preferences, needs, and pain points of Gigi Wear’s target audience—women aged 18 to 45 with an interest in fashion. At the same time, I analyzed competitors’ websites and apps to identify industry best practices and potential areas for differentiation.
Additionally, I reviewed Gigi Wear’s existing content, including product photos, descriptions, and branding materials, to identify which assets could be repurposed for the new digital platform.
Design & Prototyping
RESPONSIVE DESIGN & PROTOTYPING
I crafted a clean, modern, and visually appealing interface for Gigi Wear that aligns with the brand identity, utilizing a color palette and typography that resonate with the target audience.
To ensure responsiveness, the website and app provide a consistent, optimized experience across various devices and screen sizes. Interactive prototypes were developed to simulate user interactions, allowing for feedback collection from both stakeholders and potential users.
User Testing
Userbility & A/B Prototyping
I conducted usability tests with a small group of participants to identify usability issues and design flaws, iterating on the designs based on the feedback received. Additionally, A/B tests were implemented on various design elements and features to assess which variations yielded better performance in terms of engagement and conversions.
